Does it restrict movement?

Good Knee Brace

The brace is doing its job stabilizing my knee after an MCL sprain. It's sturdy and well made, except for two pieces. Everything else is made of heavy-duty nylon, but there are two strips of thin cloth that go around the upper and lower straps, and one of them broke after just two days of use. I really liked the brace and was going to return it to get another one, but my wife cut two pieces of nylon off a shoulder strap from another item and replaced the thin ones. Now it's not likely to happen again. If not for this I would have given it a 5-star rating. I hope someone from the company that makes these sees this and corrects the problem on future braces.

Good brace for those looking a wrap style knee support

I wear a knee brace when I exercise to make sure I don't reinjure my knee. I normally use a compression style sleeve as it gives me the additional stability I am looking for, and I adjust the compression level based on what I am doing. I had been looking to add a wrap style knee brace and to see if this would be better for me. The Fit Geno knee brace appears well constructed and to use high quality material. The brace has 2 large straps on the top and bottom. and an additional strap (running in the other directions) that they call a stabilization strap. The straps have loops that help to keep the straps straight and allow you to control how tight you make the straps. The under side has silicone anit-slip strips on the top and bottom, to help keep the brace in place. The side hinges are removable and appear to be well made. This brace also has a patella ring build in. I don't have patella issues, so can't speak to this part. I wore this to play pickle ball for a couple of hours and it was comfortable and I did not have issues wearing it the whole time. It did a good job of giving me the additional stability I was looking for.
A couple of notes:
1. The wrap style is good because you can wear a compression sleeve under it, if you want even more support.
2. Wrap style braces (especially hinged ones) do a great job of helping to keep the knee from moving/twisting sideways. They are not as supportive when jumping as compression style braces.
3. Wrap style braces will move more and will need to be readjusted more than a compression sleeve.
4. I like the hinges on this, but I worry that the netting like material holding the hinge in place will tear over time. I wish there was a more solid piece of material used there.
Overall, this a very good brace and priced very reasonably for the build and fit/finish quality.
