FAQs
Which Fit Geno posture corrector is right for me?
It depends on what you want the brace to do — here's the short version of our posture correctors.
Posture Corrector Classic — Our best seller. Figure-8 design with 4 flexible support bars. Great for all-day wear at work or on your feet.
Posture Corrector Invisilite — Ultra-slim profile, stays completely hidden under any top. Best if looking invisible is your priority.
Posture Corrector Lite — Lightweight and flexible for everyday use. Ideal if you prefer something less structured for shorter wear sessions.
Posture Corrector HeightFit — Patented height-adjustable design. The only one that fits every torso length, from upper to full back coverage.
Posture Corrector Petite — Proportioned for smaller and shorter frames, so the pull lands on your shoulders, not your armpits.
Posture Corrector Bra — Bra and posture corrector in one. No double-strap discomfort. Made for women who want support built into what they already wear.
Will a posture corrector actually work, or is it another gadget?
For most people, yes — when it's worn the way it's designed: short daily sessions that build up over 30 days, not all day. I get why you'd ask — you've probably tried a brace before that didn't stick. Fit Geno uses Honeycomb Weave 2.0 fabric with mesh-back ventilation, and a structured wear program that starts at 20 minutes a day and never goes past 2 hours. Customers who follow the program report less 3 p.m. burn within the first week. 10,000+ bought it last month. If it doesn't work for you, you have 60 days — and most fit issues we solve without you shipping anything back. Every brace also carries a 1-year workmanship warranty.
Will I become dependent on a posture corrector?
Not if you use it as designed. A Fit Geno posture corrector cues your muscles to hold good posture — it doesn't replace them. Start with 20–30 minutes a day and build up gradually, never past 2 hours. Many customers tell us they reach for it less after a few weeks, and our 30-day program is built to taper you off it.
How many hours a day should I wear a posture corrector?
Start with 20–30 minutes a day and add a little time as it gets comfortable, up to a maximum of 2 hours a day. Short, regular sessions work better than wearing it all day — the goal is to remind your muscles, not to hold you up. Take it off if you feel numbness, tingling or increased pain.
Can I sleep in a posture corrector?
No — we don't recommend it. Fit Geno posture correctors are designed for short daytime sessions while you're sitting, standing or moving, up to 2 hours a day. Lying down doesn't need the support, and wearing it overnight can irritate your skin and straps.
How do I find the right posture corrector size?
Measure, don't guess — each Fit Geno posture corrector has its own size chart under Size Guidance on its product page: waist for the Classic and HeightFit, under-bust for the Lite, Invisilite, Petite and Posture Bra. Our 30-second Find My Brace quiz does the matching for you. Still unsure? Email cs@fitgeno.com with your measurement.
Will the Fit Geno posture corrector chafe under my arms?
It's designed not to — the Fit Geno posture corrector's straps have soft padded edges and a breathable mesh back panel, so they don't dig in at the armpit. That's the #1 complaint in posture corrector reviews, and the exact reason we redesigned the straps. It's the single most common thing our 5-star reviewers mention.
Can I wear a posture corrector at work or under a uniform?
Yes. The slim profile stays hidden under work tops, scrubs, dress shirts and fitted blouses, so you can wear it through a shift. The Invisilite is the thinnest option if discretion matters most. Just keep sessions within the 2-hour daily ceiling.
How do I clean my posture corrector?
Hand wash in cold or lukewarm water with a mild detergent. Lay flat or hang to air dry. Do not machine wash, tumble dry, or iron. Proper care preserves the elasticity and shape of the brace.
Are posture correctors FSA / HSA eligible?
It depends on your plan. Some FSA and HSA plans cover posture correctors when used for a medical purpose, often with a Letter of Medical Necessity. Check with your plan administrator — a receipt is included with every order.
What is your return policy?
Every order is covered by our 60-Day Fit Guarantee. Most fit issues are fixed without sending anything back — email cs@fitgeno.com with your order number and we'll tell you the options for your brace. Prefer a full refund? Within 60 days of delivery we'll send a prepaid label: choose store credit (free label, plus a $5 bonus) or a refund to your original payment method minus a $6.95 label fee. See our Refund Policy for full details.
